Glenderan B&B, Westport, Mayo
Glenderan is beautifully and tastefully decorated and the house is built on one acre of land with manicured gardens, in which guests can stroll and relax. There is a patio area with pond and seats where guests can relax and read and enjoy their glass of wine.

On cool evenings a turf fire will be burning in the sitting room to toast your feet and warm your heart, as you relax in the company of a book or a friend, or a cup of tea, or chat with some of your fellow travellers from around the world, swapping stories about the wide roads, always straight with no traffic or sheep to be seen, where you’ve been and what you’ve seen and listen in turn to their tales.

All beds have orthopaedic mattresses and there is lots of hot water for the power showers. The house is centrally heated to make you feel comfortable. Your room has everything a weary traveller will need, satellite TV, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, books to read and exchange, (if you find yourself caught in a gripping story and you have to leave.) Alarm Clock/Radio to get you up in the morning for whatever appointment you have the following day. For heavy sleepers a knock on your bedroom door can be arranged at whatever time you need. Every house in Ireland has an iron and an ironing board so don’t pack everything.
Glenderan is situated 600 meters from the harbour/quayside on the R335 off in a nice quiet area yet within walking distance of the many fine restaurants and pubs that are located in the Harbour along with some shops, beauty clinics etc. Music can be heard in many of the pubs by the Harbour late into the night where Guinness can be had by the bucketful. Roll into one of the many taxies or stroll home to in the moonlight and dream of the leprechauns.
